Sustainability

We need to meet the needs of our generation without compromising the situation for future generations.

To do this we must incorporate sustainability into the culture of our business team and work to minimise the impact of our manufacturing operations.

This commitment is driven by our Sustainability Team, headed by the managing director and comprised of employees from throughout the business.

We work to the following principles:

• Monitor and minimise energy usage through the use of extensive metering
• Reduce waste produced
• Recycle all waste where possible
• Encourage contract pack customers to supply sustainable ingredients and packaging
• Use sustainable methods of transport where possible
• Work with suppliers to provide recyclable or returnable packaging
• Enthuse team members to see sustainability as a life-long commitment both at work and at home
• Comply with all environmental legislation, and exceed where possible
• Train all employees on best practice in the induction process, and with refresher training throughout employment
• Reward team effort
• Continually monitor energy usage, waste and product yields.
