Hen Welfare
Our eggs are sourced only from British farms that are certified under the Lion scheme.
Our main supplier, a family-owned business, won the Health & Welfare Award at the 2010 Pig & Poultry Marketing Awards thanks to their commitment to develop enhanced accommodation for their flock of hens, which provides comfort and security for the birds. The enhanced colony system is fully compliant with the EU legislation on conventional cages, effective from 1 January 2012.
We ensure that our suppliers are totally focused on the welfare of their flocks, as well as the safety of the eggs produced.
Eggs from enriched cages are of the highest quality and represent the majority of eggs used in egg processing.
Eggs from Free Range units are also available for customers who require them.
